DJ, producer, club owner and promoter from Chicago, Illinois. Pioneered the acid house sound with Phuture in the mid-to-late 1980s. Signed to Jive in the late 1980s by former Trax Records A&R Wayne Williams. Moved to New York in 1990 where he created the looped-up, layered 'wild pitch' style inspired by the parties thrown by DJs Greg Daye and Bobby Konders.
