Jonas Wochner, known by his artist name Contec, was born in 2002 in Freiburg and is currently based in Stuttgart. At the age of eight, he began playing piano before discovering his passion for electronic music production in 2022.
His sound is characterized by driving, energetic beats that remain emotional and deep at the same time. This allows Contec to create a balance between club-ready intensity and emotional depth.
With releases on the label 240kmh as well as his own imprint SINEX, he quickly made a name for himself in the scene. His greatest success so far is the single "Als du gingst" with singer Lina Maly: The track was released via Virgin Records (Universal Music), reached number 29 on the Official German Singles Chart, generated over 22 million streams on Spotify, receives regular radio airplay, and gained additional attention through a music video produced with Silkrock. The moving backstory of the song – Contec originally produced the edit for a deceased friend – was even featured on Spiegel Online.
Contec also convinces in live performances: he played a set at Sunshine Live in Berlin and is a resident at the Hans Bunte Club in Freiburg, where he is a permanent part of the local scene.
With his mix of energy, emotion, and innovation, Contec continues to develop his unique style and is establishing himself as one of the most exciting young artists in the field of electronic music.
