Growing up in London in the late 90s, Meera immersed herself in the vibrant club scene, frequenting legendary venues like Bagleys, The Cross, Turnmills, and Camden Palace. With jungle, house, and techno booming through the city’s raves, these early influences played a key role in shaping her musical identity. At 18, she bought a second-hand pair of Technics 1210s and mixer, taught herself to beatmatch using a book, and took her first trip to Ibiza, sparking a lifelong love for the island’s dance music culture.

Meera moved to Manchester for university in the early 2000s, bringing said turntables and records with her. With iconic venues like Sankeys and Music Box shaping her sound, she devoured the city’s rich musical heritage. She began putting on parties, DJing at any opportunity, and hosted a weekly community radio show. After university, she joined the BBC in Manchester, then moved back to London, working across several radio stations, including shows like Mary Anne Hobbs on Radio 1, who was championing key emerging electronic artists.

After a break from the scene, a couple of career changes and kids later, Meera is back, more full of fire than ever. Reigniting her love for DJing in 2024 she’s now hosting a biweekly show on Select and running her own parties in London. Known for her dynamic blend of tech house, deep tech, garage and global influences, Meera’s sound is versatile and deeply rooted in her extensive clubbing history. Ibiza continues to fuel her passion for dance music, and she brings that energy to every dancefloor she lights up.
