On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the legendary Café Central in Brussels will host a very special night: the birthday celebration of STEl-R, For the occasion, an international line-up has been carefully curated, bridging scenes from Barcelona, Warsaw, Zagreb and Brussels.

Originally from Belgium, AWCO grew up immersed in the early sounds of New Beat and EBM before relocating to Madrid, where he co-founded the pioneering club 8Z8, a vital platform for electro in the Spanish capital. Later based in Barcelona, he explored Chicago house under the alias Canon Rouge, yet always returned to his true passion: electro. With his monumental project Contacto Sintético – neither a label, nor a club, nor a festival, but a vast online meeting point – AWCO has created the leading hub for the electro community in Spain and beyond. His live mix is a journey through decades of underground knowledge, executed with precision and raw energy.

✨ MDMS – Live-Mix (Warsaw Dance Event / Warsaw, PL – Brussels, BE)
With roots in Warsaw and a base in Brussels, MDMS is a producer, live performer and DJ who has been shaping Europe’s electronic landscapes for over a decade. Having released seven albums and performed at major festivals such as Mayday, Wave Gotik Treffen, Electronic Beats, Castle Party and Open’er, he has shared the stage with artists as diverse as Squarepusher, James Blake, Front Line Assembly, Psychic TV, Jazzanova and Westbam. Known for hybrid sets that merge his own productions with techno and electro classics, MDMS pushes the limits of live manipulation, creating evolving, improvised performances that blur the lines between DJing and live electronics.

✨ Omen – Strictly Vinyl DJ Set (Croatia – Brussels, BE)
Born in Croatia and based in Brussels, Omen has been an ardent vinyl collector since the mid-90s. His deep crates and dedication to the underground allow him to craft unique sets, spanning early 80s/90s electronic sounds, house, electro and techno. Each performance is tailored to the moment, weaving together obscure gems and fresh releases, creating a timeless dialogue between past and present. For this birthday celebration, Omen’s strictly vinyl set promises to set the floor alight with raw authenticity.

At the centre of the night is STEl-R, celebrating his birthday behind the decks. With over 25 years of experience, he is renowned for his eclectic and elegant sets, effortlessly shifting from Detroit techno to electro, from acid to raw Chicago house. A fixture of the Belgian electro scene and a frequent guest abroad, STEl-R has performed alongside some of the most iconic names in electronic music: Legowelt, Ken Ishii, Kitbuilders, Ultradyne, Alexander Robotnick, The Hacker, Kap Bambino, ADULT, I-F and many others. His birthday set is expected to be nothing less than a highlight: sharp, high-energy, and deeply personal.
