On Saturday, April 4th, the yearly tradition of Persian New Year ‘Norooz’ returns to Funke. This edition will be different, an evening to gather in solidarity.

These days are heavy for many Iranians. Many families in Iran have had to leave their homes due to destruction and some lost their loved ones caused by bombardments. Others live through nights filled with uncertainty and fear as explosions echo across their cities. Communication has also become increasingly difficult, with internet access severely restricted.

For this edition of Norooz, we want to come together in solidarity with the people of Iran to listen, reflect, and support one another.
We’re shaping the night into a warm, intimate gathering, starting with traditional Iranian music by selector Katayoun, dinner will be served by The Mistress and a thoughtfully curated line-up at night.

At one moment during the evening, we will pause to reflect on what is happening in Iran, holding space through spoken word and collective presence.We will also be raising funds for Amnesty International, supporting their ongoing work to defend human rights in Iran.
