Pop-punk

Pop-punk is a subgenre of punk with pop sensibilities such as upbeat instrumentation, catchy choruses and cheerful atmosphere. The bands/artists that play this genre include Sum 41, Blink-182, Green Day, MxPx, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Less Than Jake, New Found Glory, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, All Time Low, and Avril Lavigne. It was massively popular in the late 1990s and 2000s, but is making a comeback which modern twists put on by bands such as Waterparks, As It Is, State Champs, and Neck Deep. .
