Dutch House

Dutch house, often nicknamed "Dirty Dutch", is subgenre of house music that originated in the Netherlands around 2006. It is primarily defined by complex rhythms made from Latin-influenced drum kits, a lower emphasis on basslines, and squeaky, high-pitched lead synths. Influences on the subgenre include Madchester, hip hop, detroit techno, and other urban styles of music.
Prominent artists include Afrojack, Chuckie, Hardwell, R3hab, Switch, and Tiësto. Dirty South's earlier compositions also bear a strong resemblance to it.
