Genre
Chamber Pop
Chamber pop is a genre characterized by an infusion of strings, horns, and piano in an indie rock or pop setting. It is strongly influenced by the orchestral pop of the mid 1960s (especially Burt Bacharach and the Beach Boys' Brian Wilson), the singer-songwriter era of the early 1970s, and the indie pop rockers of the 1980s.
The genre is often erroneously conflated with "baroque pop", which is more about the appropriation of Western classical music in a pop context.
