Genre
Rominimal
Rominimal is a form of Tech House that emerged in Romania in the late 2000s. The style is characterized by hypnotic, minimal, and "dubby" loops, featuring subtle and intricate synth pads, cranky, clicky percussion, and bouncy, pulsing basslines. Originally rooted in Ricardo Villalobos's style school of chirpy, mechanical Microhouse, and Minimal Techno, Romanian producers Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu, and Raresh would pioneer a unique Romanian take on the sound, which first took shape on their eponymous label [a:rpia:r].
