The Sway partner program pays booking agencies, marketing agencies, DJ schools and federations 10 to 20% of Sway's fee on the paid tickets sold by each new organizer they bring, typically for 12 months. It costs organizers nothing: their prices and fees do not change. Every partner gets a personal code, a shareable page and a dashboard that tracks each commission.

In short: you recommend Sway, the organizer signs up with your code, and you earn a share of Sway's own fee on their paid tickets. Commissions are approved 14 days after each event and paid through Stripe Connect.

Who can become a Sway partner?

Sway partners are the people organizers already turn to for advice: booking agencies, marketing and promotion agencies, DJ schools, federations and collectives that support new organizers. A partner brings organizers, not ticket buyers. If you help people launch events, sell tickets or run a door, the program is built for you.

How much does a partner earn?

A partner earns a percentage of Sway's net fee, the amount Sway keeps on each paid ticket order. The rate is set per partner and sits between 10% and 20%. For example, on an order where Sway's fee is EUR 2.00, a partner at 15% earns EUR 0.30. Ticket prices, buyer fees and the organizer's payout are not touched: the commission comes out of Sway's side only.

Commissions are tracked per currency and never converted, so a partner whose organizers sell in euros and in pounds sees two separate balances.

How does attribution work?

An organizer is linked to a partner in one of three ways:

  • A partner link. The page sway.events/p/CODE shows "Recommended by" followed by the partner's name, then leads to event creation. Links ending in ?ref=CODE work on any Sway page.
  • The signup form. The optional Partner code field on the Register tab.
  • The event creation form. The optional Partner code field on the Create an event page.

Four rules keep it fair. The first partner code wins and later ones change nothing. It applies to new organizers only, meaning a new account or an account that has not created an event yet. The link lasts 12 months from the day the code is applied. Self-referrals are blocked.

A code opened through a link is kept for the visit, and for up to 90 days when the visitor accepts marketing cookies. A code typed into a form always counts.

When is a commission approved and paid?

A commission starts as pending. It becomes approved 14 days after the event date. A fully refunded order cancels its commission, and a disputed order holds it until the dispute closes. Approved commissions are paid through Stripe Connect, once a month and per currency, once the balance passes a minimum amount (EUR 50 for euros).

What does the partner dashboard show?

Sign in at sway.events/partner/dashboard with the contact email Sway has on file. The dashboard lists your codes and links with a copy button, the number of organizers and events you brought, your pending, approved and paid commissions per currency, and a month-by-month table. The full walkthrough is in the partner program documentation.

How do I join?

Write to [email protected] or use the contact page with your name, your organization and the kind of organizers you work with. Sway creates your partner account, your code and your rate, and the dashboard opens with the email you gave. If you are an organizer instead, start with an organizer page.

Frequently asked questions

Who pays the partner commission?
Sway does. The commission is a share of Sway's own fee. It is never added to ticket prices, buyer fees or the organizer's costs.
What percentage does a Sway partner earn?
Between 10% and 20% of Sway's net fee on the paid tickets of the organizers the partner brought. The exact rate is agreed with each partner.
How long does a partner keep earning from an organizer?
Typically 12 months, counted from the day the partner's code was applied to the organizer's account.
Can an organizer who already uses Sway be attributed to a partner?
No. Only new organizers count: a new account, or an account that has not created an event yet. The first partner code always wins.
When do partners get paid?
A commission is approved 14 days after the event date. Approved commissions are paid through Stripe Connect once a month, per currency, once the balance passes a minimum amount (EUR 50 for euros).
