Partner Program

How the Sway partner program works: partners earn 10 to 20% of Sway's fee on the paid tickets of the organizers they bring, and what organizers and partners see.

Booking agencies, marketing agencies, DJ schools and federations can become Sway partners. A partner recommends Sway to organizers and earns 10 to 20% of Sway's own fee on the paid tickets those organizers sell, for a limited time. This page explains what it means for you as an organizer, and how partners follow their results.

For organizers

Using a partner code

If a partner recommended Sway to you, they gave you a code. There are three ways to use it:

  • A link. https://www.sway.events/?ref=CODE or https://www.sway.events/create/event?ref=CODE. The page https://www.sway.events/p/CODE shows "Recommended by" followed by the partner's name and a button that leads to event creation.
  • The signup form. On the login page, open the Register tab and fill in the optional Partner code field.
  • The Create an event page. At the bottom of Create an event, just before the legal checkbox, the optional Partner code (optional) field accepts the code.

A code opened from a link is kept for your visit. If you accept the marketing cookies, your browser also remembers it for 90 days, so you can sign up later without losing it. A code typed into a form always counts.

Rules

  • The first partner code wins. Once an organizer is linked to a partner, a later code changes nothing.
  • It applies to new organizers only: an account created in the last 24 hours at signup, or an account that does not own an event yet when it creates its first event.
  • The link lasts 12 months by default, counted from the day the code was applied.
  • A partner cannot refer itself: the same email, or the same company domain, is refused.

What it costs you

Nothing. You pay the same prices and the same fees, and you see no difference on your screens. The partner earns a share of Sway's own fee. It is never added on top of what you or your buyers pay.

For partners

Becoming a partner

Write to [email protected] or use the contact page with your name, your organization and the kind of organizers you work with. Sway creates your partner account, your code and your rate.

What you earn

A partner earns 10 to 20% of Sway's net fee, the amount Sway keeps on each paid ticket order. The rate is set per partner. It is paid on the orders of the organizers you brought, for 12 months by default. Ticket prices, buyer fees and the organizer's payout are never touched.

Signing in

Open sway.events/partner/dashboard. If you are not signed in, you land on the login page: log in, or register, with the contact email Sway has on file for your organization. A hint on that page reminds you. The first time you sign in with that confirmed email, your account is linked to your partner dashboard.

What the dashboard shows

  • Your codes and links, each with a copy button, and a Share button on the partner page when your device supports it.
  • The number of organizers and events you brought.
  • Your commissions as pending, approved and paid, shown per currency. Currencies are never mixed or converted.
  • A monthly table of your results, 12 months at a time, with a Show more button.
  • Your payouts: the minimum amount, and where you stand with Stripe.

When a commission is approved

A commission starts as pending. It becomes approved 14 days after the event date. A fully refunded order cancels its commission, and a disputed order holds it until the dispute is closed.

Payouts

Approved commissions are paid through Stripe Connect, once a month and per currency, once the approved balance passes a minimum amount (EUR 50 for euros). In the dashboard, Connect payouts with Stripe opens the Stripe form. If you close it halfway, the button becomes Continue on Stripe until the account is complete.
