Edit Entities
How to update and manage your existing artist, promoter, venue and event pages on Sway.
Editing Pages on Sway
Once you have created a page on Sway, you can update its information at any time — as long as you have Manager or Administrator permissions on that page.
How to access the edit screen
For any artist, promoter, venue or event page:
- Navigate to the page (search for it or find it via your profile).
- Tap the pencil / edit icon (✏️) in the top-right corner of the page.
- If you don't see the edit icon, you do not have edit permissions on this page.
Alternatively, open the Settings page → Manage to see the list of all your pages, then tap the Edit button next to the one you want to update.
For your user profile:
- Open the Settings page.
- Go to Your account profile.
- Tap the Edit button.
Your username, profile picture and bio can be updated at any time from this screen.
Permission levels
| Action | Read-only | Manager | Admin |
|---|---|---|---|
| View the page details | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Edit name, description, image | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Manage genres, social links | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Delete the page | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ |
| Manage team members | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ |
By default, permissions granted on a promoter are automatically shared with all events created by that promoter. This means any team member you add to a promoter will also have access to its events. To disable this behaviour, go to the promoter's edit menu → tap the shield icon to manage permissions → tap the gear icon and disable "Share Promoter Permissions".
A more granular and customisable permissions system is currently in development and will be available in 2026.
