Claim & Verify a Page
How to claim ownership and get verified status for an existing artist, promoter or venue page on Sway.
Claim & Verify a Page
Sway may already have pages for artists, promoters or venues that were created by the community or imported from public data. If you are the legitimate representative of one of these pages, you can claim it to become its Administrator.
What does claiming mean?
Claiming a page gives you Administrator access and grants the page a verified status, marking it as officially managed by its legitimate representative. This allows you to:
- Edit all information (name, description, image, social links…)
- Manage the artist lineup, genres and resident artists
- Invite team members and manage permissions
- Create events linked to the page (for promoters)
Which pages can be claimed?
You can claim a page if:
- The page exists on Sway but has no Administrator (unclaimed page).
- You are the legitimate representative of the entity (artist, promoter, venue).
If a page already has an Administrator, you cannot claim it directly. Contact the current administrator to request access, or reach out to Sway support if you believe there is an error.
How to submit a claim
- Navigate to the page you want to claim (search by name or browse the Explore feed).
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Claim this page.
- Fill in the claim form:
- Explain your relationship to the entity.
- Optionally attach proof of identity or affiliation.
- Submit the claim.
The claim process is currently handled manually by the Sway team. You will receive a response by email once your claim is reviewed.
After a successful claim
Once your claim is approved:
- You are added as the Administrator of the page.
- You can immediately edit all details, manage the team and link events.
- If needed, invite other team members via the Manage Team screen.
See Manage Permissions for a full guide on inviting and managing team members.
Page does not exist yet?
If the page you are looking for does not exist on Sway at all, you can create it directly:
