Edit Your Profile

You can update your Sway profile at any time from the Settings screen.

How to open the edit screen

1. Open the Settings page.
2. Go to Your account profile.
3. Tap the Edit button.

Editable fields

Username

Your public display name on Sway — visible to all users on your profile, in chats and throughout the app.

• Is unique across the platform.
• Avoid special characters.

Email address

The email address linked to your Sway account.

• Used for login, password resets and notifications.
• After changing your email, a confirmation link is sent to the new address. You must click it to activate the change.

Bio

A short description of yourself displayed on your public profile.

• Supports Markdown formatting (bold, italic, links, lists…).
• Use the Preview toggle to see the rendered output.

Profile picture (avatar)

Tap the camera icon on your current avatar to select a new photo from your gallery.

• Use a square image for best results. An in-app image cropping and editing tool will be available in a future update.
• Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, WebP.

Password reset

If you want to change your password:

1. Tap Reset Password.
2. A password reset email is sent to your address.
3. Click the link in the email to set a new password.

Delete account

1. Scroll to the bottom of the profile edit screen and tap Delete Account.
2. Confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialog.
3. Your account is deleted and you are signed out.
