Web App

What the Sway web app does, how it differs from the mobile application, and a map of every guide in the section.

The Sway web app is where organizers do their setup work: creating pages, selling tickets, getting paid, working as a team. The mobile app is built around discovery and going out — finding events, following artists, buying and showing tickets. You reach the web app at sway.events/admin with the same account you use in the mobile application.

Start here

  1. Open sway.events/admin and sign in with the account you use in the mobile application.
  2. Follow the guided setup. It asks what you are, then walks you through every step in order, including the ones that are easy to forget — like connecting payouts before you try to sell a ticket.
  3. If your artist, venue or promoter page is already on Sway, claim it instead of creating a second one.
Search before you create anything. Artist, venue and promoter pages are created automatically when somebody publishes an event that credits them, so yours is very probably on Sway already. A second page splits your events, your followers and your history across two profiles that never merge. Claim the existing one instead.

If you already have your pages, skip the guide and go straight to the screen you need from the map at the bottom of this page.

What each app can do

Both apps create, claim and edit pages, and both sell tickets. What only the web app can do is the setup that makes selling possible in the first place.

Web appMobile app
Create a promoter, artist, venue or event page
Claim a page that already exists
Edit your pages
Sell tickets with Sway Tickets
Buy tickets
Guided setup that walks you through it step by step
Connect payouts (Stripe)
Schedule a publication for later
Show your tickets at the door
If you only ever want to publish an event so people can find it, the mobile app is enough. The moment you want to sell tickets and be paid for them, you need the web app: payouts are set up there and nowhere else.

Doing the same things from your phone
