Sway for AI assistants
Sway runs a public MCP server. Connect it to an AI assistant and the assistant can search Sway for you: "techno events in Brussels this weekend", "when does this artist play next?", "which venues host drum and bass?". Where an organiser has switched it on, the assistant can also buy tickets for you.
No account and no key are needed to read. The server only returns what is already public on Sway.

Any other client
Any client that speaks MCP over streamable HTTP works with the URL above.
What the assistant can do
- Search events (by text, dates, genre, city), artists, venues and promoters.
- Open one event, artist, venue or promoter for the full details: lineup, ticket tiers, prices, upcoming events.
- List genres, so a search can be narrowed to a style of music.
- Show results as a card in assistants that display MCP apps: events with their poster, artists, venues and promoters with their picture, and a link to the Sway page.
Buying tickets
When an organiser has switched on Sell tickets to AI agents in its page settings, the assistant can place an order in two steps:
- Quote: the assistant asks Sway to price the tickets. Sway answers with the exact total, the service fee included, and reserves nothing.
- Pay: you approve that total in your assistant, which issues a single-use payment token for the organiser and sends it to Sway. Sway charges that amount, once, and the tickets reach the email address you gave.
You are never charged more than the total you approved, and nothing is charged before you approve it. Prices, the service fee and the organiser's payout are the same as on the Sway website. Orders placed this way take no coupon, access code, presale or donation, and cannot be free.
If the organiser has not switched it on, or the payment cannot be completed, the assistant sends you to the event page instead.
Limits and privacy
- The server is rate limited per address. Requests from a browser page are refused: it is meant for assistants.
- It returns public catalogue data only. It never returns attendee lists, orders or private pages.
- Emails and phone numbers written into descriptions, and phone or email entries among the links, are left out. Images come only from Sway's own picture host.
- The email address given for an order is used to send the tickets and the receipt.
