Create Entities
Step-by-step guides to add artists, promoters, venues and events in the Sway app.
Sway allows you to create your own pages for artists, promoters, venues and events directly from the mobile app. Once created, these pages appear publicly on the platform for other users to discover.
Who can create?
Any registered and verified Sway user can create:
- 🎵 Artist profiles (bands, DJs, live acts…)
- 📣 Promoter pages (event organising companies, collectives…)
- 📍 Venue pages (clubs, warehouses, outdoor sites…)
- 🎉 Events (raves, festivals, parties, concerts…)
How to access the creation screens
Two entry points open the same Create page sheet:
- Explore → the + in the top bar.
- Settings → the floating + at the bottom right.
The sheet lists Create Venue, Create Promoter, Create Artist and Create Event, in that order. Tap one to open its form.
Settings is reached from your profile: on Explore, tap the avatar at the
top right, then the gear icon. There is no Settings tab in the bottom bar —
see Getting around the app.
Create Event carries a padlock until you have Manager or Admin
permissions on at least one Promoter page. You can create your own Promoter
page, join an existing one, or claim a Promoter page that already exists on
Sway.
Every creation form ends with a legal confirmation checkbox: you confirm you
have the authority to bind the page and accept Sway's Terms & Conditions and
Privacy Policy. The submit button stays greyed out until it is ticked, and it
says what is still missing.
