Edit Entities
How to update and manage your existing artist, promoter, venue and event pages on Sway.
Once you have created a page on Sway, you can update its information at any time — as long as you have Manager or Administrator permissions on that page.
How to access the edit screen
For any artist, promoter, venue or event page:
- Open the page (search for it, or find it via Settings → Manage Entities).
- Tap the ⋯ menu in the top bar.
- Choose Edit. If Edit is not in the menu, you do not have edit permissions on this page.
The pencil that used to sit in the top-right corner is gone. So is the Settings
tab — Settings now lives behind the gear on your own profile, which is the
avatar at the top right of Explore. See
Getting around the app.
For your user profile:
- Open Settings.
- Tap Edit your account profile at the top of the screen.
Your username, e-mail, bio and profile picture can be updated at any time from this screen.
The edit screen at a glance
| Control | Where | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Manage access (shield-with-plus icon) | Top bar | Invite team members and set their role. |
| Notifications (bell icon) | Top bar | Follow-notification settings for this page. |
| Delete (bin icon) | Top bar | Delete the page. Hidden if you are not allowed to. |
| Save changes | Bottom bar | Saves the form. Absent when you only have read access. |
Permission levels
There are four roles:
| Action | Viewer | Editor | Manager | Admin |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| View the page details | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Edit name, description, image | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Manage genres, social links, lineup, gallery | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Manage team members | ❌ | ❌ | partly | ✅ |
| Delete the page | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ |
By default, permissions granted on a promoter are automatically shared with all events created by that promoter. This means any team member you add to a promoter will also have access to its events. To disable this behaviour, open the promoter's edit screen → tap the manage-access icon → tap the gear icon and disable "Share Promoter Permissions".
A page always keeps at least one Admin — the last one cannot be demoted or
removed.
